Built To Perfect Symmetry
Carbon Six Rifle Barrels offer a number of advantages over traditional all-steel barrels, but it's important to first understand what a carbon fiber barrel is—and what it isn't.
At its core, every Carbon Six barrel is a precision-machined stainless steel barrel. It is not made entirely of carbon fiber. Instead, we start with a proprietary barrel blank manufactured to our exact specifications and then apply a carbon fiber outer wrap through a specialized manufacturing process designed to maximize performance while reducing weight.
The firearms industry is filled with marketing claims and misconceptions about carbon fiber barrels. At Carbon Six, we focus on delivering measurable results rather than making outlandish promises. Our goal is simple: build lightweight, highly accurate rifle barrels that perform in the field and on the range.
Every Carbon Six barrel is engineered for precision and backed by our 1/2 MOA Accuracy Guarantee. It's a standard we proudly stand behind and one that reflects our commitment to quality, consistency, and real-world performance.
Contour Tip
One of the standout advantages of a Carbon Six barrel is the significant weight reduction compared to traditional all-steel barrels. Many customers choose to maximize this benefit by selecting our lightest contour options for the ultimate in handling and mobility.
However, even when moving into medium or heavy contours, shooters still see meaningful weight savings over comparable solid stainless barrels. In fact, the percentage of weight reduction becomes even more pronounced as the contour size increases.
For example, the difference between a Carbon Six bull contour and a traditional full stainless bull barrel represents the greatest overall weight savings—delivering substantial reduction without compromising rigidity, accuracy, or performance.
